  • SOUNDYARD is a registered CIC. It’s a type of non-profit social enterprise.

    We operate as a company, but we don’t have share holders. Everything revolves around our mission; sharing audio making skills to encourage creativity for wellbeing and empower people to tell their own unique stories in a compelling and dynamic ways.

    All our profit goes back in to our mission.

  • Accessibility is important to us. We are selective about our venues with this in mind.

    We will always make sure there is wheelchair access and accessible facilities as a minimum.

  • We have a range of workshops on many different audio topics that we can tailor to meet the needs of your group.

    We offer a discount for charities and non-profit organisations.

    Our profits fund our mission - including hosting free workshops in communities that need them.

  • Accessibility is a priority for us - so when we teach audio skills, we do so on smart phones and tablets, with free or very cheap software. We advocate that good audio making skills trump equipment every time.

    We have an extensive library of industry equipment we use when we need to.

    When we’re in the field making podcasts, we tend to reach for handheld audio recorders (various Tascam, Marantz models), shotgun mics, and above all else a really decent pair of headphones (we use Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro).
