We’re an award-winning not-for-profit audio company
We like bringing people together, and letting stories unfold.
A lot of what we do is about creating spaces where it feels safe to share, and where people feel genuinely listened to.
That can look like many things — from poetry evenings and youth groups to film screenings and hands-on audio workshops — all centred on expression and connection.
We believe everybody is creative, and everybody has a story to tell. We produce audiobooks shaped by lived experience, and work with communities on the ground to preserve important histories. Spoken Stories grew out of a desire to capture people’s essence in their own words, creating something lasting.
We recently worked with the community in Hemsby on a documentary funded by Historic England, giving local people space to tell the story of the holiday-making industry and celebrate their heritage.
In 2025, we launched Norwich Podcast Festival — a weekend of workshops and events bringing people together around a shared love of audio and creativity.
About Us
We are a small team of audio makers, who want to share our love and obsession with sound as an art form.
We pool together decades of diverse audio making experience: from producing programmes and podcasts in small communities to creating shows for large audiences on international platforms.
